Son of Henry and Emma White Byas. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served as the head pastor for over 40 years at 1799 Sale Rd. Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Anita Kay Byas; ten brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Betty Roth Byas; children, Gary (Mickey) Byas, Vicky (Buck) McDowell, Danny Byas, Tommy (Linda) Byas, Terry (Larry) Bryant and Joey Byas.
