Bennett M. Bybee, 58 years old, died at the Bothwell Hospital at 10 o'clock Thursday night. He had been in failing health for the past year and had been a patient at the hospital for the past three weeks.
Mr. Bybee was born near Warsaw, July 26, 1889 the son of the late George W. Bybee and Mrs. Delilah White Bybee.
He resided the greater part of his life in Benton county, where he taught school for twenty-five years. For the past ten years he lived in the state of Washington, returning to Sedalia last March.
Mr. Bybee is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marie Hughes of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Patsy Baldwin, Salina, Kas., one son Mifford Bybee, Kansas City, Mo., his mother, Mrs. D. A. Bybee of Sedalia; five brothers, George and Charles Bybee of Sedalia, C. E. Bybee of Mexico, W. R. Bybee of Marshall and L. S. Bybee of Edwards, Mo., five sisters, Mrs. Saddie Reid, Neosho, Mo., Mrs. Andy Moore, Carson, Iowa, Mrs. Amos Gover, Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Sylvia Ousley, Springfield, Mrs. Forrest Hickman, Bayfield, Colo. Three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the New Bethel Church near Edwards, Mo., at 2:30 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Charles Waisner will officiate. Interment will be in the Bybee family lot in the New Bethel Cemetery.
The body is at the Eving Funeral Home.
