BURTON BLACKMER
DORSET - Funeral services for Burton Blackmer, 65, who died suddenly in his home Saturday morning, will be conducted at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center by the Rev. Robert Clayton, pastor of the Zion Episcopal Church of Manchester Center.
Born in Fort Ann, N.Y., May 8, 1897, he was a son of Hial and Clara (Campney) Blackmer.
Blackmer resided most of his life in Dorset and was active for many years as a carpenter in this area. He was a Veteran of World War I and a member of Harwood McBride American Legion Post of Dorset.
Survivors are a brother, Abner Blackmer of Wells; one nephew and two nieces.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Dorset.
