Ben Gahan Jr., 33, son of Mr & Mrs Ben Gahan, Tomahawk, died last Thursday morning at Onamia, Minn.
Mr Gahan was born Jan 12, 1926 in Tomahawk. He was a member of the coast guard from 1942 to 1946.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Mrs Ben Gahan Jr; a sister, Mrs Donald Koth, Tomahawk; and his grandfather, Carl Caldwell, Tomahawk.
The body was brought to Tomahawk where it lay in state at Nick and Sons funeral home. Services were Monday at 9 a.m. in St Mary's church.
The Rt Rev Msgr William Smits officiated at the mass and at graveside rites at Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Martell of Janesville, Lyle Copiskey, George Bartlet, Roland Copiskey, Richard Olson and Rod Timm.
