Catskill Mountain News, January 16, 1992:
Henry S. Davis, 64, of Holiday Brook, Andes, died Saturday, January 11, 1992 at Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton, New York.
He was born January 10, 1928, in the Town of Roxbury, the son of Eder and Helen Palmatier Davis. He married Golda Bell August 10, 1950 in Arena.
He was a lifetime area resident and a retired foreman of the Margaretville Wastewater Treatment Plant for the City of New York. He was an avid antique auto restorer and collector and the winner of many awards for Antique Autos. He was a member of the Algonquin Antique Auto Club and past member of the Andes Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Ricky Davis of Jeffersonville; two stepsons, Harry Bell of Delhi and Richard Bell of Bainbridge; a step daughter, Mary Davis of Andes; and his mother Helen Palmer of Cincinnatus.
The funeral was held Tuesday at Jester-Stanley Funeral Home in Andes, with Rev. Daniel McCollister, Pastor of Andes United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Shavertown Cemetery.
