Man Pushing Car Killed.

Hammond, Ind., Oct. 31. -- O. P. Kelley, of Gary, was fatally injured today when struck by an automobile as he was pushing his car, which had run out of gas, off the road. Stanley Jakulsi, driver of the car which struck him, was held on a charge of manslaughter.

AUTO INJURIES FATAL FORMER ELWOOD CITIZEN

Oscar P. Kelly, 36, former Elwood resident, died at Gary Friday from inuuries sustained when struck by an automobile last Wednesday. he suffered two broken legs and other inuries in the accident.

Mr. Kelley formerly resided in Elwood and is well known here. He was an industrious individual and was held in high esteem by his many friends.

Besides the widow, he is survived by one son; four brothers, five sisters and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kelly, of Gary.

The body will arrive in Elwood on the early morning Pennsylvania train and will be removed to the Clark chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted at the East Main Street Christian church Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. V. Hayes Miller, and burial will be made in the city cemetery.
