Edith Faye Sears Hargis, 82 years of age, departed this life on Saturday, December 1st, 2012.
Faye was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on April 11th, 1930, daughter of the late Raymond and Reatha Alexander Sears. Faye was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was retired from Palm Beach Manufacturing in Somerset, Kentucky where she gave more than 43 years of service.
Faye was survived by one daughter, Cathy (and David) True; one brother, Samuel (and Diana) Sears; one sister, Helen (and Woody) Kelley; five grandchildren, Anthony W. "Tony" DePrato II, Jeremy Daniel "J. D." DePrato, Jennifer Sheets, Suzannah Reed, and Natalie Brown; seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Reatha Sears; her husband, Donald Eugene Hargis, whom she married on December 23rd, 1950 in Somerset, Kentucky; three brothers, Charles Lee Sears, Raymond Sears, Jr., and Earl Don Sears, who died in infancy; and one sister, Ruth Etta Mounce.
Visitations were held at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky form 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6th, 2012 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Gilbert Robinson officiating.
Burial followed in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky.
