ADAM, WILLIAM C. 74 - of Parkertown. It is with a saddened heart that we announce the passing of our companion, father, best friend, and all around great guy William C. Adam. He left us suddenly December 1, 2012 in the early morning. We all know he really went fishing. Born in Philadelphia, he lived on Long Beach Island before moving to Parkertown. After serving in th U.S. Army, Bill was a Philadelphia Police Officer, and then made a 35 year career as an owner/operator of Adam Trucking, most of that with AE Stone.

He is predeceased by his parents Carl and Midge Adam, and wives Christa Huter Adam and Joan Viteritto Adam.

He was father to Daniel Adam, New Egypt, N.J., Diana (Larry) Sofield, Georgia, Dean (Karen) Adam, West Creek, N.J., Deborah (Peter) Pharo, Tuckerton, N.J., and John (Roe) Viteritto, Little Egg Harbor, N.J. He had 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Bill was a loving partner for 29 years to Margaret V. Genzano. Together they enjoyed Florida vacations and fishing. He was always salt water fishing, and was Captain of Aqua-Gem.

After his family, fishing was his love. He had a lust for life and was always ready to help someone out. Bill was a member of the Sexton Masonic Lodge of Beach Haven and achieved the 32nd Degree.

Family and Friends may call Wednesday, December 5, from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M., (with Masonic Services at 8:30 P.M.), and again Thursday, December 6, from 9:30-10:30 A.M., at Wood Funeral Home, 134 East Main St., Tuckerton, N.J. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at Church of The Holy Spirit Episcopal, 222 E. Main St., Tuckerton. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, N. Green St., Tuckerton.

Catch em up Bill. Godspeed.
