Ms. West, daughter of Edward and Nettie Cofer, was born January 17, 1948, in Calhoun County, Mississippi. She was a homemaker. Ms. West enjoyed couponing, shopping, reading and raising flowers and was a member of the Logan Creek General Baptist Church.
Surviving are four daughters; Scarlet Wilson, Paula Smith and Bobbie Barton, all of Doniphan, and Loretta Munnerlyn of Grandin, Missouri; two sons, Robert Welker and Brian Welker, both of Doniphan; two sisters, Delmer Sanders and Oleta Davis, both of Mississippi; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Kather Goodson and one great-grandson, Luke Settles.
Visitation for Ms. West will begin Thursday morning, December 6, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Curtis Crowley officiating. Burial will be in the Logan Creek Cemetery.
