A.T. Collins, 84, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Marymount Medical Center. Born to Bart and Stella Smith Collins on Sept. 10, 1923 in Clay County, he was a coal miner and of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers Dewey Collins and Marion Casey Collins. And son-in-law Steve Martin.
Surviving are his wife, Dora Mills Collins; two daughters, Ramona Crawford (Ray)and Bernice Martin, both of London; two sons, Eugene Collins (Sherry), of London, and Owen Collins (Patsy), of Hyden; three sisters, Leona Nantz, Ruth Rankins and Margaret Mills, all of Indianapolis; brother Bart Collins Jr., of London; six grandchildren, Stephanie Martin, Katrina Mounce, Melanie Collins, Heather Collins, Shani Collins, and Zackery Collins; and two great-grandchildren Austin Mounce and Alyssa Mounce.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at London Funeral Home's chapel with Delmar Gross and Wayne House officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park, London.
