The coffin, in which he will be buried, arrived on a morning train from Diamond, Missouri. It was made by the dead man's own hands, when he worked as a cabinet maker in his younger days. Some time ago he ordered handles for the casket of Boice & Son.
A son of the deceased works at I.E. Shefer's and Mrs. J. H. Green, wife of Dr. Green, is a daughter. The burial will be made six miles west of Columbus this afternoon, where the deceased lived in years gone by. He settled in that community before the town of Columbus was in existence.
