Richard Edward Grannan, 72, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his home in Florence.

A native of Tacoma, Washington, Mr. Grannan has lived the last 3 years in Florence. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines as a Helicopter Mechanic. After service, he worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, WA and recently as a truck driver. He loved NASCAR and his animals.

Mr. Grannan was preceded in death by his wife, Sydney Grannan.

He is survived by his sons, Dick E. Grannan of Florence, Garey F. Grannan of Auburn, CA, and Ronnie M. Grannan of Bodfish, CA; brothers, Fredrick E. Grannan, Jr., Mike Grannan, and Patrick Joseph Grannan; sisters, Rose Grannan, Mary Young, and Kathy Burger, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services and burial for Mr. Grannan will be next to his wife, Sydney at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline, WA at a later date.
