She was born Jan. 6, 1893, in La Compte, La. Her maiden name was Hunstock. She moved with her family to a farm near Haines in 1895.
Mrs. Kerr graduated from Baker City High School in 1913 and attended Judson College in Marion, Ala., Thomas Normal School in Detroit, University of California at Berkeley, Chicago Art Institute and New York University. She won a scholarship to study art in Paris in 1924.
Mrs. Kerr taught art in Oregon, Washington, California and New York, had numerous exhibits and published several books.
Her husband, Fred, died in the early 1980s.
Survivors are her nieces, Roberta Warren of Florence, Barbara Walters Zolfaghary of Bellevue, Wash.; and a number of cousins.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements: Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary.
