Services for Paul Henry Markworth, 62, owner of Markworth Gear company who died Tuesday, will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Hinson Memorial Baptist church. Interment will be at Riverview cemetery.

Mr. Markworth was born in Sheboygan, Wis., August 24, 1890, and came to Portland 43 years ago. He first worked in the parts department for an automotive firm and in 1923 started in business for himself. His two stores are at 203 S.E. Grand avenue and 302 S.W. 12th avenue.

Mr. Markworth was a charter member and treasurer of Youth for Christ. He was a member of Gideons, 99 club of Union Gospel, Christian Business Men’s club and Greater Portland association He was chairman of the finance committee of Automotive Trade association and was chairman of the trustees of Hinson Memorial Baptist church. His home was at 3546 N.E. Bryce avenue.

Edward Holman & Son is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include: the widow, Teresa Markworth; a brother H. F. Markworth, a sister, Mrs. Hurburt Zatche, Sheboygan.
