STEPHEN BLOYD, the oldest son of William Bloyd and Keziah Barsheba Lord, was born in 1775 in Maryland and died in February 1848 in Green County, Kentucky. He married Nancy W. McCubbins on May 30, 1805 in North Carolina.

The Bloyd's buried here are from the family of William Bloyd (1750-1809). William Bloyd was born in Scotland. He came to America and after moving from Maryland to North Carolina and South Carolina, he came to Green County, Kentucky in 1805 with his wife, Keziah Barsheba (Lord) and nine children.
Stephen Bloyd and his bachelor brother William, were the only children of William Bloyd to remain in Green County……. the other children all left Green County and moved to Indiana, Arkansas, and points west......all the way to Oregon and California, where there are many Bloyd's living today.
The burial location for William and Keziah is not definitely known to me. They are possibly buried in this old cemetery along with their son Stephen. Stephen and his wife Nancy (McCubbins) died about 1848.
