Anita was born on Aug. 10, 1919 in the town of Cedarburg, daughter of Norbert and Margaret (nee Wollner) Vande Boom.
She passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 of natural causes, at the age of 88, on the Bell farm that she called home for over 67 years.
Anita grew up in the town of Saukville and attended eight grades at the Catholic school.
She married Robert W. Bell on April 3, 1940. She lived her life raising her children doing the cooking, canning and gardening while helping her husband on the farm.
Anita was also a steward of the land and steward of conservation, which she enjoyed and loved dearly.
Anita is survived by her children Ronald (Jeanette) of Chaseburg, Annette (Donald) Schanen of Port Washington, Stanley (Janet) of Wentworth, Mo., Steven (the late Connie) of Saukville, Barbara (John) Van Derslice of Westminster, Md., Mary of Saukville, Catherine (Peter) Beckstrand of Viroqua, William (Carolyn) of Malone and Martha (Steve) Strollberg of Slinger.
She was the loving grandmother of 35 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Anita is also survived by her sisters Dorothy (the late Michael) Harrington of West Bend, Marie (the late Roland) Rennecki of Saukville, Rita (the late Carl) Arentz of Grafton, Celia (the late Vern) Albers of Grafton and Bernice (the late Robert) Schueller of Belgium; and her brothers Ralph (the late Carol) Vande Boom of Saukville and George (Frances) Vande Boom of West Bend. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; son Peter; grandson Timothy Beckstrand; two brothers and many in-laws.
