---L. Louise Ashby, age 54, 1000 West Erie Street, Albion, died Monday, April 23 in Albion Community Hospital after a long illness.
---Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Court-Putnam Funeral Home with Rev. Dale B. Nye of Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Lyon Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
---Miss Ashby was born July 25, 1929 in Battle Creek to Clare and Thelma (Trine) Ashby. She was a life-long resident of the Marshall area.
---Survivors include: her mother and step-father Mr. and Mrs. Lyle (Thelma) Rocco of Marshall; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Christiansen, Potterville; a brother, Edwin Ashby, Delton; 2 half-sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Jamison, Oregon; Carol Gakin, Hillsboro, Ore.; and 1 half-brother, Donald Rocco, Hillsboro, Ore. She[sic] father, Clare Ashby, preceded her in death.
