John Good, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at his residence under the care of his family and Lakeland Hospice

John Harold Good was born Nov. 6, 1934, to Ernest Lee and Emma (Anderson) Good in Tracy. He grew up and graduated from Walnut Grove Public Schools in 1952.

On June 29, 1957, John married Edith Cole at Coolville, Ohio. To this union, three daughters were born.

In 1968, John and Edith were divorced. In 1970, John moved to Fergus Falls where he owned and operated Robo Carwash and Gas Station until 1987. After retiring, John went to work as a part-time transfer attendant for Otter Tail County where he worked until two months prior to his death.

John was a member of the Masons for 50 years, where he was a past High Priest of the Royal Arch Masons, York Rite 27, Fergus Falls where he was awarded the Bronze Medal.

He was Illustrious Master twice of Royal and Select Masters, Alpha Council 8. He was commander twice of the Knights Templar, Palestine Commandery 14.

He was the recipient of the Hiram Award through Masons AF and AM. John was a lifetime member of AF and AM and held the office of Master in three different lodges.

John was a lifetime member of the Knights of York, where he was awarded the Cross of Honor. He was also a member of the Birak Shrine Club — Zuhrah Temple and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

John was an avid duck hunter and enjoyed hunting with his grandson, Dustin and other friends. He also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

He is survived by three daughters, Cathy (Alan) Braun of Onalaska, Wis., Michelle (Lynn) Trelstad of Moorhead, Lori Good of Fergus Falls; a step-son, John S. Good of Fergus Falls; a sister-in-law, Dolores Good; a brother-in-law, Dale Burnham; seven grandchildren, Adam and Amanda Braun, Michael (Amber) Trelstad, Matthew Trelstad, Zachary Umlauf, Dustin (Ruth) Umlauf and McKenzie Umlauf; step-grandson, Zachary Good; and two great-grandchildren, Dacia Umlauf and Sawyer Trelstad.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Guy and Dennis; and one sister, Dorothy Burnham

Visitation: Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, at Hilltop Celebration Church, Fergus Falls

Burial: 11 a.m. Tuesday, in Walnut Grove City Cemetery, Walnut Grove
