Mary Frances Dillard

The funeral service for teacher's aide and former store manager Mary Frances Dillard of Paris was scheduled at 10 a.m. today at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Matt Lampley was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Toone in Hardeman County.

Family members were pallbearers.

Visitation was today.

Dillard, 78, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Erin Convenient Care.

Born in Hardeman County on April 26, 1930, she was a daughter of Hubert Wilson Morris and Winnie Dora McKinney Morris, now both deceased.

She was married to Joseph Emanuel Dillard, who died in 1964.

Dillard formerly worked as store manager for the Ga-Lynn Women's Apparel store in Paris. She also worked for the Paris Special School District as a teacher's aide at Atkins-Porter School. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She leaves three daughters: Linda (Mike) Reynolds of Paris, Debra Susan (David) Coleman of Baxter Springs, Kan., and Carolyn (Robert) Holcomb of Reno, Nev.; one son: Jeff (Laura) Dillard of Smyrna;

Four brothers: David (Jeannie) Morris, Bobby (Charlene) Morris and Frank (Mary Ann) Morris, all of Bolivar, and Tommy (Peggy) Morris of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a sister: Sue Sullivan.
