John "Robert" Bennett was the son of John and Hannah Bennett. Robert and his wife Mary are listed on the 1920 and 1930 census as residents of Berrett, Carroll County, Maryland. Their home was along the road to Sykesville. In 1930, their 6 year old neice Mildred Dorsey lived with them. Mary died in 1931. When the 1940 census was enumerated, Robert was unmarried. He still lived in Berrett.
