Prior to his service in Vietnam, he served as a Marine Recruiter in Odessa. Survived by his wife, Sumitar Mansi. Recipient of the Bronze Star with "V" device, Purple Heart (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Marine Corp Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
