MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Rev. Wendell Keith Moore, 64, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at his home.
Born Oct. 30, 1935, in Lampasas, Texas, he was the son of Eulalia Priest Moore of Martinsburg and the late Wendell McGee Moore.
A 1954 graduate of Lampasas High School, he received a bachelor of science degree from South West Texas University in 1959 and a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1963.
He was an associational missionary in the tri-county area, was a minister for eight years with Baker Heights Baptist Church and had served as a pastor in Texas and Ohio prior to coming to Martinsburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lorena ; two daughters, Sonya of Fleetwood, Pa., and Joan Loreitha of Wilmington, Del.; one son, Joel of , N.C.; two brothers, Terrell , Ohio, and Gary Moore of N.C.; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Moore.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Martinsburg. The Rev. Timothy R. Valentino will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.
