On Friday evening, January 3, 1879, Mrs. Flora McKnight, daughter of David and Rachel Bennett, and wife our esteemed friend L.A. McKnight, of Gessie, at the early age of 21 years and 6 months, passed in happy triumph over the cold dark Jordan of death. The tender sympathies of many friends cluster around the sorrow stricken husband and sadly bereaved parents in this hour of great affliction. Numerous friends mourn their loss in so estimable an associate and companion. She was a lady of culture and refinement, also a member of the M.E. Church, and died in the body faith of eternal life. She had an infant boy, who had gone before.
