Richard B. Taylor, 55, loving husband, father, brother, and friend passed away at his home November 28, 2012, surrounded by his family and dog Tank, who never left his side, after a valiant fight against cancer. Richard was born in Orange County, California on March 8, 1957 to Stewart and Ann Taylor. He graduated from Delta High School in 1975. He married the love of his life, Michellene (Missy) Alvey, on May 11, 1985. They have three children: Adam, Eric, and Karlene.
He was employed for 36 years as a yard master for Union Pacific Railroad and loved all the people he worked with. He loved everything outdoors: camping, fishing (but never caught any), motorcycles, four wheelers, especially spending time with his family. His family was everything to him.
He is survived by his wife, Missy, children Adam, Eric (Ashley), Karlie (Trevor), granddaughter Laynee, sisters Pat (JB), Bonnie, Darlene (Randy), Ellen (Kirk), Beverly (Ron), sister-in-law Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at Harvest Park 1st Ward, 12173 South 4000 West, Riverton Utah. Viewings were held on Friday, November 30 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment at Herriman City Cemetery.
