Mrs. Nellie Frey Dies Tuesday

Mrs. Nellie Frey, 77, 515 W. State St., Pendleton, died Tuesday at St. John's Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness. Mrs. Frey was born near Anderson on Aug. 20, 1880, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hiram Tucker. She came to Pendleton six years ago from Marion. Mrs. Frey was a member of the Markleville Christian Church and the OES No. 21 of Jonesboro. Surviving are: the husband, Elias (Doc) Frey; two daughters, Mrs. Jesse Holman, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Edna Belt, Anderson; one son, Ernest Pemberton, Marion; seven Grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Cornell Bright Funeral Home where friends will be received after 2 p.m. Thursday. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and graveside rites will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery at Marion.
