She married Joseph Paris on Mar. 30, 1937 at St. Joseph’s Church in Marinette.
She graduated from Marinette High School in 1933, worked at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Menominee, MI and was head of the bakery for the Marinette School System for a number of years. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and Altar Society, Little River Country Club, the Silver Swingers and the ladies morning league for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Joseph;
a son George (Mary) of Pembine, WI;
four daughters: Mrs. Richard (Johann) Hebert of Winter; Mrs. Al (Penny) Tyczkowski of Appleton, WI; Mrs. James (Linda) Knutson of Marinette, WI and Sandra Paris of Milwaukee, WI;
12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren;
sisters-in-law: Mrs. Bill (Beattie) Nemetz, Bernice Wortner and Doris Paris;
seven godchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and eight great-great-great nieces and nephews
and two very special friends, Joyce Shepro and Eunice Sawall.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Bridget and Helen; two brothers: Patrick and Walter; four brothers-in-law: Ray, Art and Henry Paris and Ralph Wortner and three sisters-in-law: Florence, Gladys and Ruth Paris.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home, Marinette on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. Further visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17 at St. Joseph’s Church, Carney Blvd, Marinette from 9 a.m. until time of services. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. at the church.
Rev. Joseph Dorner will officiate and burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
