Jarrod Michael Petrelli , FBI Special Agent on Dec. 6, 2012. Special Agent (SA) Petrelli was attending a law enforcement conference on gangs in Boca Raton, Florida when he unexpectedly passed away. Before joining the FBI, SA Jarrod Petrelli served four years with the West Palm Beach Police Department, two years at Broward County Sheriffs Office, and one year at Amherst Police Department. He was also in the U.S. Army Reserves. He proudly followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, who retired from the Braintree Police Department in Massachusetts. SA Jarrod Petrelli joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in August 2008. He was assigned to the FBI field office in St. Louis, Missouri. During the past four years, he dedicated his entire time to fighting violent gangs. He rose quickly through the ranks and made his mark early as a new agent. SA Jarrod Petrelli became a relief supervisor almost immediately after completing his two-year probationary period. In October 2012, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the U.S. Attorney for leading a two-and-a-half year investigation and for dismantling a violent heroin trafficking ring in the St. Louis area. All 16 members, with the exception of one at-large fugitive, have been convicted and sentenced to federal prison in the high profile case. SA Jarrod Petrelli earned his Masters Degree in Criminal Justice at Western New England College and his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice at Westfield State College, both in Massachusetts. He graduated from Braintree High School in 1996. He was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts. SA Jarrod Petrelli passed away just three days shy of his 35th birthday. Survivors include his beloved wife Tammy S. (Gorfine) Petrelli. Cherished father of three young daughters; Rachel, Ashley, and Ariana Petrelli. Devoted son of Francis D. Frank Petrelli Jr. and Kathleen Kathy (Eno) Petrelli of Braintree. Loving brother of Nicole McCue of Weymouth and Michael Petrelli of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, two grandmothers and his in-laws. Visiting hours will be held at McDonald Funeral Home 809 Main St, Weymouth (opp South Shore Hospital) 809 Main Street, S. Weymouth, on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. The family will gather in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass to be held at St. Clare's Church, Liberty Street, Braintree MA.
