Graveside services were held Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
James was born December 2, 1922, in Draper, SD, to Rudolph and Otilla (Ernst) Freier.
He is survived by his wife,his 3 sons and their spouses,2 daughters and their spouses, his brother, his sisters and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward and Henry; and sisters, Grace, Esther, and Emma.
