Born at home on Pennsylvania Avenue, Pittsburgh PA. Class 1901 Allegheny High School. She taught in Pittsburgh public schools but was required to leave her job in 1914 due to her marriage to Edgar. They later lived on Clearvue Road in Ingomar PA 1929 - 1961. She then moved to Squirrel Hill with him. After he died in early 1968 she moved to Massachusetts to be near her son Edgar Jr. and his family. She loved to garden, cook and read books. She died a week after watching Apollo 11 land on the moon on TV. Mother of two, and grandmother of seven.
