Karen Sue Cline Sparling 64, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, at home. She was born Jan 24, 1945 in Chicago,IL. Her parents were Raymond and Dorothy(Sefried)Cline. She married Larry Sparling on June 23, 1961 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death on Dec 7, 2008. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Taylorville.

Surviving are her sons; Randy Sparling and Robbie Sparling both of Taylorville. 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; brothers: John(Debra)Cline of Taylorville, David(Marilyn)Cline of Langleyville; sisters, Carolyn Clark and Judy(Steve)Funk both of Taylorville, Nancy(Daniel)Sims of Edinburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Russell Sparling; brothers: Frank and Gary Cline; sister-in-laws, Shelby Smith and Sharon White; nephew, Ricky Smith; and nieces: Sharyn Luttrell and Jesica Luttrel.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, in Sutton Memorial Home, with pastor Michael Warner officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Jacksonville. Vistation will be held for one hour prior to services Saturday in the funeral home.
