Robert R. Allison, 83, of Richmond, died Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond. A native of Warrenton, he was the son of the late Edward Martin and Susan Catherine Campbell Allison.

Mr. Allison was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Chesterfield and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and was Past Patron, Holly Chapter No. 27 OES, Richmond; a member of Blandford Lodge No. 3, A.F. & A.M.; Past Master, Kemper-Macon Ware, Lodge No. 64, Falls Church; Past Royal Patron, Potomac Court No. 4 Order of the Amaranth, Arlington; and affiliated with Harmony Court No. 11, Petersburg, Order of the Amaranth, Virginia; Past Grand Royal Patron of the Grand Court of Virginia, Order of the Amaranth.

Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia A. Allison. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Genes Kerns of Oxon Hill, Maryland; a niece, Betty Harmel of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; and close friends, Dwight and Vickie Cosgrove of Matoaca.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, with Rev. Cynthia Corley officiating. Interment to follow in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield.

Family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m., with a Masonic Memorial Service beginning at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home Endowment Fund, 4101 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Va. 23223 or to the American Heart Association, Mid Atlantic Affiliate Memorials & Tributes Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058-5216.
