THE GREENVILLE NEWS - July 1, 1936

Funeral services for Charles Garraux will be held this morning at 9:30 o'clock at the Mackey mortuary on North Main street at Elford, conducted by Dr. J.H. Viser. Interment will be in the family plot in Springwood cemetery.
The following will serve as pallbearers: A.N. Stall, W. Austin Hudson, William Gauble, Fred Lott, Dr. R.J. Drummond and B.F. Dillard.
The death of Mr. Garraux followed an illness of three years and occurred yesterday in a Columbia hospital, where he had undergone treatment during the last four weeks. He was born in Asheville, N.C., but lived most of his life in
Greenville.
Mr. Garraux was a charter member of the Third Presbyterian Church.
He was twice married, his first wife having been Miss Belle Peden. From that union the following children survive: Harry Garraux, Greenville; Mrs. Zeb Blackwood, Atlanta, Ga.; and Mrs. Fred Jamison, Greenville. Mrs. Garraux died in 1915.
Mr. Garraux's second marriage was to Miss Freddie Terry, who survives him.
He is also survived by two brothers, Ernest Garraux, Austell, Ga., and Frank Garraux, Atlanta, and by the following sisters: Mrs. Rosa Marvel, Providence,
R.I.; Mrs. Bertha Bryson, Mrs. Fannie Bull, Miss Lucy Garraux and Miss Mary Garraux, all of this city.
Until the hour of the service, the body is at the mortuary.
