Lyle Babb, 74, of Bird Circle in Greeneville, died Friday morning at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Babb retried from the Greeneville Water Department.
He was a member of Greenelawn Baptist Church.
"He was a loving father and a very special person, who was always willing to help others in time of need," his family stated.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Roberts Babb; two daughters and son-in-law: Nickie and Ronnie Babb of Greeneville and Tina Ridha of Johnson City; two sisters and brother-in-law: Rose Alma Hawk of Greeneville and Anna Lee and Jerry Brown of Georgia; several special nieces and nephews; and special cousins: Carol Babb and Sammy Babb.
He was a son of the late Willard "Pete" and Ruby Boswell Babb.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Lawrence Pack will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 9 o'clock Sunday morning in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at 8:45 in the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Malone, Charles Gosnell, Charles Gosnell Jr., L.C. Bowers, Claude Hawkins, Richard Roberts, Mack Roberts, and Ricky Trantham.
