Franklin Kent Lowe, Sr., age 84, of Katy, Texas and formerly of Jarrettsville, died Monday, December 10, 2012 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born December 15, 1927 in Jarrettsville, son of the late B. Roy and Nellie Kent Lowe.
Kent was a U.S. Marine, a member of Jarrettsville Lions Club, a former member and past officer of Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church at Madonna. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #184 in Tiptonville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Kidd Lowe, son, Franklin Kent Lowe, Jr. and wife, Joanne P. Lowe, daughter, Debra Lowe Woolworth and husband, Brian B. Woolworth, granddaughter, Blakely Coleman Lowe, and brother Richard B. Lowe. He was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Lowe.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 16 at 3:00 PM at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 4135 Norrisville Road, White Hall, MD 21161, with Pastor Richard Sheffield officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
