Born Feb. 1, 1948, in Bedford, Lawrence County,Indiana. She was the daughter of Herman K. and Eleanor (Bough) Harris. She was a 1966 Graduate of Oolitic High School. She had worked in accounting at NWSC Crane and was a caregiver with Stonebelt. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Christian Church and the Lawrence County Historical Society.
Survivors include three sons, Chris Barrett and companion Rita Abbey and Mike Barrett, all of Seymour, and Allan Barrett of Bedford; two sisters, Beth Grissom and husband Travis of Mitchell and Cindy Dowling of Florida; two nephews, Dan Grissom and wife Alyssa of Bedford and Dennis K. Dowling of Plainfield; two great-nephews, Hayden and Cole Grissom; her former husband, Billy; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ron Harris.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Patton Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary.
