A professional dancer, Grace had appeared in several London theatre shows (popular in the 1920s). On the night of 9 April 1925, Grace left the home she shared with her mother, Eva, to visit the West Kensington Super Cinema. She was attacked with a razor blade by one Ernest Rhodes at approximately 11 p.m. Tragically, Grace died in hospital the following morning.
