Form many years he served as Assistant State Attorney for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, and prior to that served as County Judge for Putnam County.
He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and B.P.O.E. Lodge 1232.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Geneviebve Philips Calhoun; a daughter of Mrs. Emmett Brown, Jr., Palatka; a son, John C. Calhoun, Palatka; a brother, retired Admiral William L. Calhoun (U.S.N.), Coronado, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Kate Peterson Fair, Miami and a granddaughter, Kathie Calhoun, Palatka.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with Rev. W. Pipes Jones officiating.
