Al Grall, Old Timer, Dies At His Farm Home

A,H. Grall, better known to old residents of this part of the state as "Al," died at his farm home seven miles northeast of Seminole about 4 a.m. Saturday.

Mr. Grall was 69 years old and had been in bad health for some time. He had been ill for the past four or five months. He had lived in this part of the state for more than 25 years. He was closely identified with the early days here. A native of Texas, he cast his lot in Indian territory before statehood.

Mr. Grall was the first town marshall of Shawnee. All of the old time residents of that city and vicinity remember "Al," who was known. After seven years as marshal of Shawnee he moved to what is now Seminole county and had resided here since.

He served two years as a deputy sheriff here soon after statehood.
