Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Roland Johnson-Ritchie Funeral Home 905 Benton Ave., Corning. The Rev. Jeanne Groom will officiate the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Prescott with military rites conducted by American Legjon Metz Post No. 544 of Prescott. There is open visitation noon to 8 p.m. today with the family receiving friends 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Coming. A memorial has been established in his name.
Mr. Beckett, son of Donna (Kleckner) and Leavitt Beckett, was born Nov. 20, 1946, in Clearfield. On Jan. 8, 1966, he married Judy Uehling at the Mercer Center United Methodist Church. He was employed as a lab technician in the aluminum foundry at Fansteel Wellman Dynamics in Creston. He was a member of the Clearfield Christian Church and Elks Lodge in Creston. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Beckett of Creston; his mother, Donna Beckett of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two daughters, Ragina (husband Clay) Reynolds and Katina (husband Rob) VanDyke, all of Ames; a sister, Ruth Ann Beckett of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
