Mrs. Caroline Webb
Mrs. Carolina Webb of Blackey, passed from this life on Monday Oct. 25, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jesse Rogers. She had been ill for one week, suffering with pneumonia.
She was the daughter of the late Charles and Polly Creech Cornette, and was born on Jan. 20, 1865, being 83 years 9 months and 5 days of age at her death. She was married to David Caudill who proceeded her in death in 1919. She later married Lee Webb of Thornton, Ky., who proceeded her in death 10 years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss the following children: Mrs. Susan Fields, Jeremiah, Millard Caudill, Butchal, Ky., Willie Caudill, Jeremiah, Watson Caudill, Jeremiah, Mrs. Lena Hampton, Letcher, Sam M. Caudill, Jeremiah, Mrs. Jessie Rogers, Blackey, Dixon Caudill, Ison, Ky., and Mrs. Verna Adams, Jeremiah.
Funeral services were held at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Steve Adams of Jeremiah on Wednesday Oct. 27, 1948, at 10:00 A. M., o'clock with Paris Beckham Fields, Alvie Caudill, John Sexton and others officiating. Burial in family cemetery at Jeremiah, Ky.
