Nancy A. Mills, 69, Antis Township, died Saturday evening at Altoona Regional.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Harr) Hartz. She was first married to Donald W. Shearer, who preceded her in death, and then formerly to Dennis Mills.

Surviving are three sons: Jeffrey (Theresa) Shearer and Donald Wayne (Lisa) Shearer Jr., both of Altoona, and Shawn (Dawn) Shearer of Tyrone; two daughters: Lisa Shearer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Patricia (Charles) Shearer of Altoona; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Hartz of Levittown; a stepbrother, Edward Wilkenson of Juniata; and a stepsister, Ruth Owens in Ohio.
Nancy retired from the state of Pennsylvania after 30 years of service as a public assistance worker. She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting and collecting Native American memorabilia. She especially loved her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, the Rev. Elizabeth Hess officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
