Miss Maude Elizabeth Landis of Mount Union died Sunday, February 28, 1965 at 1 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

She was born November 12, 1879 in Newton Hamilton, a daughter of W. J. and Amanda (Swigart) Landis.

She is survived by one niece and two nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church in Mount Union and a member of the Ladies' Bible Class of the church. For the past several years she had resided at Sayer's Nursing Home at Burnt Cabins, R.D.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, at 3:30 p.m. from the Clark funeral home in Mount Union. The Rev. Jesse K. Gunder will officiate. Interment will be made in the Mount Union I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Tuesday until the hour of the services.
