Obituary

JOHN A FREITAG

John Albert Freitag, 64, of 54 Warren street, died suddenly yesterday afternoon while at work at the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing company`s factory where he had been employed for many years. Mr. Freitag had appeared to be in usual health before his sudden attack. Dr. J. M. Buffum, medical examiner of Wallingford pronounced death due to heart trouble.

Mr. Freitag was born in Germany, coming to Meriden in 1890. He was a member of St. John`s Sick Benefit society. Surviving him are his wife, two sons, Charles F. and Albert Freitag of this city; five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Costello of Waterbury, Mrs. Helen Atlas of Long Island, Mrs. Minnie Dorschied, Mrs. Emily Guest and Miss Olga Frietag of this city; and twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o`clock at the home and 2:30 o`clock at St. John`s First Evangelical Lutheran Church of which the deceased has been a member since 1892. Rev. S. F. Glaser will officiate and burial will be in Gethsemane cemetery.

The funeral of John A. Freitag was held this afternoon at 2 o`clock at the home, 54 Warren street. Rev. S. F. Glaser, pastor of St. John`s First Evangelical Lutheran church, officiated and interment was in Gethsemane cemetery.
