He was born March 1, 1914 in Hong Kong. He grew up in both Hong Kong and San Pedro, CA. After graduating from Pasadena (Nazarene) College he married Helen Reiton, his beautiful wife for 63 years. He was a missionary to Southest Asia and was interred in a Japanese prison camp in Hong Kong in 1941. He also had a radio ministry in the United States called "Voice of China and Asia" for over 48 years.
He was survived by his beloved wife, Helen; five daughters, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, many many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
There will be a visitation on September 6 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. and memorial service will be held September 7 at 9:00 A.M. at Pasadena Mausoleum at Woodbury and Raymond Dr. in Altadena. The family requests in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to: Voice of China and Asia, PO Box 15, Pasadena, CA 90012-0015 or the VITAS Hospice, 598 South Grand Ave., Covina, CA 91724.
