This regiment was the 1st Rockbridge (VA) Artillery unit. Officers included W. A. Anderson (relationship unknown), and John M. Anderson. (John M. was also born in May 1819, in Rockbridge Co., VA.), again relationship unknown.

John was the son of James and Susan (Replogal) Anderson.
