MOUNT AIRY -- Mrs. Hazel Collier Phillips, age 79, of 3302 Summit Hill Trail, died Friday, June 15, 2007 in Mount Airy, NC. She was a member of Village Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 from the Chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. by Dr. Christopher D. Conner. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, William H. Phillips, Jr. of the home two sons: Bill Phillips and wife Cindy of Mount Airy, and Tommy Phillips and wife Fonda of FuquayVarina; two sisters, Frances Davis of Richmond, VA and Gladys Garnett of Wilson; three grandchildren, Anna Phillips, Drew Phillips, and Stacey Phillips. She was preceded in death a brother Gray Thomas Collier.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service; and other times at 1433 Andersonwood Drive in Fuquay-Varina. Flowers are welcome but memorial donations may be made to E.N.C. Chapter of Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27605.
