Agnes was born on July 31, 1923, in Selma, CA, and passed away quietly on Monday, February 27, 2006, in Fresno.
She was a generous, warm-hearted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Her boundless energy, optimism, caring and devoted service will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In 1996, she was awarded the Benemerenti Medal by Pope John Paul II for her volunteer service to the Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Liscano; her children, Linda and Michael; her granddaughter, Karen Michele Sanchez; and her siblings, Matilda, Ramona, Macario and Phil Lango. She is survived by her children, Art Liscano and his wife Tanya, Marcella Osterhaus and her husband Jack, Bernadette Liscano, Marie Liscano- Ansari and her husband Mo, Frank Liscano and Pauline Liscano-Gines and her husband Ramon.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren whom she adored. Her brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews and her friends at St. John's Cathedral will also miss her joyful presence.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Chapel on Monday, March 6, 2006, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be at St. John's Cathedral on Monday, March 6, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. Remembrances may be made to St. John's Altar Society, 2810 Mariposa St., Fresno, CA 93721.
