Calvin was the son of David A. Fox of Waltham, Hancock County, Maine and Lucy Davis of Bethel, Oxford County, Maine. David was married twice. David married Lucy Davis about 1863 in Bethel, Oxford County, Maine. Lucy and David had three children. They were: Calvin Turner Fox was born on 15 April 1864; Lucy L. Fox was born in 1872; and Clarence Kimball Fox (# 102225842) was born on 11 November 1872. All the children were born in Eddington, Penobscot County, Maine. David married Eva J. Rowe after 1873 in Oxford County, Maine. Eva and David had no children.

Calvin married Hortense J. Wilson on 10 May 1896 in Wilsons Mills, Oxford County, Maine. Hortense and Calvin had two children. They were: Dermont Scribner Fox was born on 14 September 1895 in Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine; and May Fox was born about 1896 in Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine.

Note: Calvin Turner Fox was born in Eddington, Penobscot County, Maine, on 15 April 1864, the son of David and Lucy Davis Fox of Bethel, Oxford County, Maine. He enlisted in the Army, at Augusta, Kennebec County, Maine on 15 November 1883 and received his discharge from the same place on 14 May 1886. He worked in the Ordinance Department of the Old Arsenal until the Arsenal was abandoned. He came to Wilsons Mills, Oxford, Maine, in 1894, and married Hortense J. Wilson, daughter of Joseph and Mary Bennett Wilson of Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine. He was a member of Aziscoos Grange, serving as master and secretary. He was town clerk from 1906 - 1910 and also served as assessor and constable. He was watchman on Aziscoos Mountain for the Maine Forestry Service for over fifteen years, spending his summers in Wilsons Mills, Oxford County, Maine, and the winters in Augusta, Kennebec County, Maine. He died in Togus, Kennebec County, Maine, on 24 January 1935, age 71 years. His wife, Hortense, died at Parsonsfield, York County, Maine, on 30 July 1917, age 42 years. Children were: Dermont Scribner Fox, born in Magalloway Plantation, Oxford County, Maine, on 14 September 1895 - died at Carrying Place Township, Somerset County, Maine, on 08 April 1940.
