Robert L. Moody
- Robert Lee Moody. Oquawka. Ill. died Jan. 9 in Burlington hospital, where he had been a patient since Dec. 18.
- A retired farmer, Moody was born in Henderson county, Illinois, on Dec. 29, 1886, the son of John H. and Louisa Norris Moody. He was reared in the Fall Creek community, and was married to Eleanor Schlotzhauer on Sept. 27, 1941. She died Nov. 13, 1914.
- Moody was a member of the Rozetta Baptist church. A one time student at Bellington Business college, in Washington, he had served as president and director of the defunct First State Bank of Oquawka.
- Surviving are a brother and two sisters: Mell R. Moody. Monmouth, Ill.: Mrs. Reatha Watson, Mount Pleasant, and Mrs. Mary Dietrich. of Blandinsville. Ill. Three brothers and two sisters are dead.
- Services were held Jan. 11 at the Turnbull funeral home. in Monmouth. The Rev. A. C. Hickerson, pastor of the Oquawka Community church, officiated, and burial was in the Oquawka cemetery.
