HAMMON ROUND-UP CLUB
ORGANIZED

The Hammon Round Up Club was happy over placing second in the Old Timers Reunion at Cheyenne Saturday 19th.
Beginning the first part of May, the Hammon club will have a round-up each Sunday afternoon. Visitors are welcome and the doors are open at all times for new members.
Officers of the club are Fred Stubblefield, president; Bill Libby, vice president; Glen Clements, secretary-treasurer; the Board of Directors are Cleo Walker, of Cheyenne, Hack Webb, Leo Jones and Richard Dugger
, all of Hammon.
Any club desiring to contest Hammon should get in touch with any of the officers.

In April 1971 Haskell was living in/near Strong City, Oklahoma.

Haskell Raymond "Hack" Webb

Funeral services for Hack Webb were conducted at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2001, from the Strong City Baptist Church with Andy Taylor. DeWayne Clap and Bobby Stewart officiating. Interment followed in the Strong (sic) Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
Haskell Raymond "Hack" Webb was born June 30, 1918 at Booneville, Arkansas to Levi and Nell (Scherer) Webb and died Thursday, at the age of 82.
He came to Elk City with his parents when he was a boy. He attended several county schools while the family lived at Alleeville near the Kiowa Community. Hack worked on the Allee and the Herring Ranches before he moved to San Bernadino,(sic) CA in 1938 where he worked as a carpenter. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He served overseas in North Africa and Italy. He was discharged in 1945 and on May 31, 1945 Hack was married to Dessie Mae Stewart at Hammon and they made their first home on the Herring Ranch. In 1960 they bought a place near Strong City and they have lived in that community since. Hack was a farmer and rancher and a well known rodeo announcer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Newell and Jerry; and a half brother, Merle.
Survivors include his wife, Dessie May Webb of the home; two children, Joe Raymond Webb and wife Patricia Nell of John Day, Oregon, Donna Marie Bozell and husband Kenneth of Rye, Colorado; one brother, Phill Webb of Elk City; four sisters, Hatren Loyd of Elk City, Marie Hobbs of Elk City, LaRue Whisenhunt of Hobbs, New Mexico, Phyllis Swing of Oklahoma City; one grandson, Dr. Eric Raymond Webb and wife Ryanne of Grants Pass, Oregon; and great grandson, Cormac Mitchell Webb of Grants Pass, Oregon.
